As president and co-founder of United Financial Center, David works with financial clients across the nation, specializing in retirement and estate planning, tax preparation, and insurance. He leads United Financial Center's investment team which analyzes and sets investment strategies for each individual client.
David is a Partner and a Registered Representative with United Planners Financial Services, which is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, with over 300 nationwide advisors. He holds Series 7 and 63 Securities licenses, and is licensed in numerous states in Property, Casualty, Long Term Care, Health, Disability, and Life insurance. He has served southern Arizona as a tax preparer for over 20 years and is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals.
David graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in communications and a minor in business, and was a Hinckley Scholar and member of Kappa Tau Alpha.
David currently teaches retirement planning courses at Pima Community College, and has been associate faculty at the University of Phoenix where he taught Certified Financial Planning courses. He previously worked as a television news anchor/producer and financial reporter. He is the author of “The Real Time Bomb: The Aging of America and the Retirement Crisis,” published in 2005, and is an honoree in Who's Who. David has served on the boards of non-profit organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, DeGrazia Foundation, was an on-air fundraiser for Arizona Public Media for many years, and sang with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorale. He is currently active as a lay leader in his church. David and his wife, Rena, have been married for more than 40 years; and have four wonderful children, and eleven exceptional and special grandchildren.
